The OECD Handbook for Innovative Learning Environments, published in Catalan by Unescocat and the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), is the culmination of the Innovative Learning Environment (ILE) Project that in the last decades has synthesized the seven learning principles and the organizational characteristics that make them possible.

It is an important contribution for teachers, management teams and public policy makers, because it combines reflection and the basis for action for educational change.

The Handbook is divided into four chapters, which provide a concise, non-technical synthesis of a substantial volume of international reflection on learning and innovation, based on each case in referenced publications. Each chapter also presents practical tools and promotes, through practical action, the key findings of the ILE through educational leadership training, self-evaluation and professional development.
